Nadra CNIC address modification process and fee – July 2025

NADRA explains how to change your name on CNIC
Pakistani citizens who have a Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) can change their residential address by following a proper process and paying a fee. To update the address, the applicant needs to visit any Nadra office in the country with the required documents.
The CNIC is an identity card issued to citizens aged 18 and above. It contains personal details such as name, father’s name, date of birth, and residential address.
If someone wants to modify the address on their CNIC, they must bring documents that prove their new residence, like property papers, a rent agreement, or utility bills. Nadra staff will check and verify these details before making the changes.
Nadra charges a fee for address modification depending on the service type. The normal category costs Rs400, the urgent service costs Rs1,150, and the executive service costs Rs2,150.
If the information or documents provided are incomplete or incorrect, Nadra has the right to reject the application. It is important to ensure all papers are valid before applying for the change.
