Important Update for Arbaeen Pilgrims: Major Travel Rule Announced

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that pilgrims will not be allowed to travel to Iran and Iraq by road for this year’s Arbaeen pilgrimage. Instead, air travel to these countries will be permitted.

In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Naqvi explained that the decision was made following consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Balochistan government, and security agencies. The move aims to ensure public safety and protect national security.

He also shared that the Prime Minister has directed an increase in the number of flights available to pilgrims, with the goal of providing greater convenience for travelers during the pilgrimage season.
