BISP Adds More Areas for August 2025 Payments

Good news! In August 2025, the BISP 8171 program has expanded to include many new districts across Pakistan. This means more families can now get the Rs. 13,500 payment. If you were not eligible before, this is a great time to check again — your area might now be included.

Which Areas Are Now Included?

Although the full list hasn’t been shared yet, here are some confirmed updates:

• New urban and rural districts in Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan

• Areas in AJK and Gilgit Baltistan

• Smaller tehsils that were left out earlier

The goal is to reach more poor families, especially in areas that were missing from the system.

Why Is This Expansion Important?

• More coverage – more families will now get help

• Better data – the system uses new survey info

• Fair access – even small or far-off areas are being added

• Focus on need – poor communities get priority

Who Can Get Rs. 13,500?

To qualify:

• Your CNIC must be in the NSER database

• Your PMT score must be 32 or less (up to 35 for widows or disabled persons)

• A female should be the head of the household

• No government job, luxury car, or tax return in your name

If your PMT score is between 33 and 37, you might still qualify after review.

How to Check If You’re Eligible

1. By SMS

• Send your 13-digit CNIC (no dashes) to 8171

• You’ll get a reply showing your status

2. Through the 8171 Web Portal

• Go to the 8171 web portal in your browser

• Enter CNIC and the security code

• Click Check Status to see if you qualify

3. Visit a BISP Office or Mobile Van

• Take your original CNIC

• Staff will help you check status or update your info
