Trump, UK PM Discuss Gaza Crisis During Scotland Visit

28 July, 2025 18:32

U.S. President Donald Trump held a press conference in Scotland where he shared updates on major global conflicts, especially focusing on the Gaza crisis.

Trump said the U.S. has donated $60 million worth of food aid for the people of Gaza on humanitarian grounds.

“We are helping Gaza with food. I hope the aid reaches those who truly need it,” he said.

“It’s shocking that people in Gaza can’t even access food due to ongoing blockades.”

He mentioned that he has discussed the Gaza situation with the UK Prime Minister, and both leaders agree on the need for a ceasefire.

“PM and I are working together to bring an end to the Gaza war,” Trump added.

Trump said he’s also in contact with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and that they are planning different strategies regarding the conflict.

He highlighted the difficulties in ceasefire negotiations and said,

“There’s no denying Gaza is facing a famine. Talks with Hamas are also facing challenges.”

On Iran, Trump expressed concern,

“We are not receiving good signals from Iran. It seems Iran is still guiding Hamas, which is not good. If Iran restarts its nuclear program, we will stop it immediately. Iran must not have a nuclear bomb.”

Trump also warned Russia, saying,

“We’re giving Russia a 10-15 day deadline to respond on a peace agreement. So far, no real progress is seen in ending the war.”

In another major statement, Trump claimed,

“I have prevented six major wars so far, including stopping a war between India and Pakistan.”

He also noted,

“We’ve made a big deal with the European Union, and we’re actively involved in peace-building efforts globally.”

Meanwhile, the UK Prime Minister confirmed,

“Trump and I both want to reach a Gaza ceasefire as soon as possible.”

Trump concluded by saying the release of Israeli hostages remains a priority.
