Pakistan Rejects India’s Operation Mahadev Claims, Calls India’s Home Minister’s Statement False

01 August, 2025 15:49

Pakistan’s Foreign Office has firmly rejected India’s claims about Operation Mahadev, stating that they hold no significance for Pakistan.

In a weekly press briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan labeled the accusations and provocative claims made by Indian leaders in the Lok Sabha regarding Operation Sindoor as baseless. He said these statements are attempts to distort facts and justify India’s aggressive actions.

He criticized India for launching attacks without conducting investigations into the Pulwama incident. According to Khan, innocent civilians were killed during India’s strike on the night of May 6-7. India failed to achieve its strategic objectives, while Pakistan successfully targeted Indian aircraft and military installations.

Khan urged Indian leaders to accept their losses and acknowledge the involvement of a third party. Pakistan had offered transparent and independent investigations, which India declined. Instead, India pursued aggression, acting as judge, jury, and executioner. Pakistan responded strongly to India’s aggression in May 2025.

The spokesperson also rejected India’s “New Normal” statements, emphasizing that respect for sovereignty and adherence to the United Nations Charter remain the only principles governing bilateral relations. He reiterated Pakistan’s rejection of India’s nuclear blackmail narrative, highlighting that Pakistan thwarted India’s moves using conventional capabilities.

Addressing the Indus Waters Treaty, Khan called Indian leaders’ statements “baseless” and condemned India’s suspension of the treaty as a violation of international agreements. He described India’s unilateral and illegal action with regret.

He further accused India of destabilizing the region through misinformation, war hysteria, and provocative rhetoric, while Pakistan remains committed to peace, stability, and meaningful dialogue in the region.

Finally, Khan dismissed Indian claims regarding Operation Mahadev as insignificant. He branded the Indian Interior Minister’s statements as false and based on fabricated stories. The alleged perpetrators of the Pulwama attack were reportedly killed at the outset of the Lok Sabha debate.
