Government to Accept Applications from Unregistered Pilgrims

03 August, 2025 16:12

Islamabad: The federal government has decided to accept Hajj applications from unregistered pilgrims as well.

There is a fear that the Hajj quota of 1.2 million will not be fulfilled by the 450,000 registered pilgrims, so the Ministry of Religious Affairs has decided to give a chance to unregistered pilgrims due to the fear of low applications.

The collection of Hajj applications from registered pilgrims will begin tomorrow, Monday. Registered pilgrims can submit applications under the government scheme from August 4 to 9.

Applications from unregistered pilgrims will be accepted from August 11 to 16, and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

The opportunity for Hajj applications will be given to registered pilgrims. For a 38- to 42-day Hajj, Rs. 500,000 will have to be deposited, while for a 20- to 25-day short Hajj, Rs. 550,000 will have to be deposited as the first installment.
