Islamabad – A Business Forum on trade and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Iran was held in Islamabad, attended by Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
The forum began with the national anthems of both countries, symbolizing the strong ties between the two neighboring nations.
Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan addressed the gathering, highlighting the deep brotherly relations between Iran and Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of increasing trade between the two countries and called for full utilization of available business opportunities. “We are committed to enhancing bilateral trade and investment,” said Minister Jam Kamal.
He also appreciated Iran’s interest in investing in various sectors of Pakistan’s economy.
In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said the Pakistan-Iran Business Forum was a welcome step toward strengthening economic ties. “Pakistan and Iran share religious and cultural bonds,” he said. “We are working to promote trade and investment with Iran.”
He further announced that both countries have agreed to increase bilateral trade volume to 10 billion dollars and vowed to remove trade barriers in the way of economic cooperation.
