BISP August 2025: New names included, check CNIC & payment

The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has started Phase 3 payments in August 2025, bringing relief for many families in Pakistan. This phase includes new beneficiaries, those who missed earlier payments, and special support for widows and disabled persons.

What’s New in August 2025?

• A new list of approved families has been released.

• Many people who were waiting for approval are now added.

• Double payments (Rs. 27,000) are being given to those who missed the last cycle.

• Payments are being sent through banks, ATMs, and BISP centers.

• Biometric verification is required for transparency.

Who Has Been Added?

You may be on the new list if you:

• Recently completed the NSER survey in 2025

• Belong to a low-income family

• Have a poverty score under 37

• Are a widow, divorced woman, woman head of household, or disabled

• Missed the last payment due to system errors

How to Check If You’re on the List

Option 1 – SMS Check

1. Open your messaging app

2. Type your 13-digit CNIC

3. Send to 8171

4. You’ll receive a reply with your status

Option 2 – 8171 Web Portal

1. Visit the official 8171 portal

2. Enter your CNIC and captcha

3. Check your registration, payment, or collection center

What the Status Messages Mean

1. Wait for an SMS from 8171

2. Visit the mentioned bank, BISP center, or ATM

3. Bring your original CNIC

4. Complete biometric verification

5. Only the registered female in the household can collect the payment

If You’re Not on the List

If your name isn’t in the new list:

• Visit the nearest BISP Tehsil Office

• Request a re-survey or update your details

• Bring:

  • Original CNIC

  • Family information

  • Proof of income or poverty status
