Meeting Held on New Court Infrastructure in Karachi

Karachi: A high-level meeting was held to discuss the planning of new judicial infrastructure in Karachi. The session was chaired by Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Yahya Afridi, according to an official statement.

The meeting was attended by the Registrar of the Supreme Court, Registrar of the Sindh High Court, Session Judges, and other senior officials.

The proposed plan emphasizes the importance of urban convenience, cost-effectiveness, and access to public transport, ensuring that the new infrastructure meets the needs of both the public and the legal community.

The Chief Justice stressed the need for effective consultation with the legal community and the provincial government before finalizing the project.

Justice Yahya Afridi highlighted that the district judiciary is the face of the justice system and must be strengthened as part of broader judicial reforms in the country.
