09 August, 2025 21:55

Lahore: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore is set to announce its reserved verdict on August 11 in two high-profile cases concerning the burning of vehicles near Jinnah House, located in the Shadman Police Station area. The cases are linked to incidents of unrest in the city, drawing significant public and media attention.

During the recent hearing, ATC Judge Manzar Ali Gul conducted proceedings inside Kot Lakhpat Jail for security reasons. The decision to hold the hearing inside the prison was taken to ensure a safe and controlled environment, as the cases involve sensitive matters.

According to court sources, both cases involve allegations of arson and damage to property during a period of public disturbance. The prosecution and defense have presented their final arguments, after which the court reserved its decision.

The verdict, scheduled for August 11, is expected to be closely followed by legal experts, political observers, and the public. The outcome will be an important development in Lahore’s ongoing legal proceedings related to incidents near Jinnah House.
