Anas Al-Sharif’s Final Message
After his martyrdom, Anas Al-Sharif’s official X (formerly Twitter) account shared his final message, written on April 6, 2025:
“This is my will and my final message. If these words have reached you, know that Israel has succeeded in killing me and silencing my voice.”
He wrote, “God knows that since I opened my eyes in the streets and alleys of Jabalia refugee camp, I dedicated all my strength and courage to becoming a voice and support for my people. I had hoped that God would prolong my life until I could return to my city, Occupied Askalan (Ashkelon), with my family and loved ones—but God’s will prevails, and His decree is fulfilled.”
Anas continued, “I lived in pain, tasted the bitterness of loss and grief again and again. Yet I never hesitated to deliver the truth as it was—without distortion or manipulation—hoping that God would be a witness. Those who remained silent, those who accepted our slaughter, and those who suffocated even our last breaths—our children’s and women’s mutilated bodies couldn’t melt their hearts or stop the genocide we’ve endured for over a year and a half.”
He said, “I entrust Palestine to you—it is the jewel in the crown of Muslims, and the heartbeat of every free human in this world. I entrust the people of Palestine and their oppressed little children to you—those who didn’t even get the time to dream, or live in peace and safety.”
“Be a bridge for their freedom. Let no chain silence your voice, and let no border hold you back—until the sun of freedom shines upon our stolen nation.”
He continued, “I entrust my family to you—my dearest daughter, the light of my eyes, whom I dreamed of watching grow up, but time did not permit me. I entrust my son Salah to you, whom I hoped to support and accompany until he grew strong enough to carry my burden and continue my mission. I entrust my beloved mother to you—her prayers brought me this far. Her prayers were my fortress and my guiding light. I pray that Allah grants her patience and rewards her on my behalf with the best of rewards.”
Anas pleaded, “I ask you to stay close to them and, after Allah, be their support. Stand by the Palestinians.”
He concluded, “I bear witness before Allah that I am content with His decree and I believe that what is with Allah is better and everlasting. Forgive me if I fell short, and pray for my forgiveness. Do not forget Gaza. And remember me in your sincere prayers.”
