Trump Delays Tariffs on China for Three Months
U.S. President Donald Trump has postponed the imposition of trade tariffs on China for three months.
According to foreign media reports, the decision was announced through an executive order signed by Trump, extending the grace period until November.
The Trump administration had initially given China a deadline of August 12 to agree to a trade deal, warning that additional tariffs would be imposed otherwise.
U.S. media reports that this extension is the result of backdoor negotiations and possible diplomatic progress.
The White House has confirmed that talks with China are ongoing and that the opportunity for trade reconciliation will not be wasted.
