Pindi Police Arrest Aleema Khan, Noreen Khan

12 August, 2025 21:52

Rawalpindi – The two sisters of PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan — Aleema Khan and Noreen Khan — were taken into custody by police in Rawalpindi on Monday.

According to reports from the scene, police detained both women during a public gathering or protest. The exact reason for their arrest has not yet been officially confirmed by authorities, but the incident quickly gained attention on social and mainstream media.

Eyewitnesses said that Aleema and Noreen Khan were peacefully present at the site when police officials approached and took them away in custody. Video footage shows them calmly cooperating with police.

In a surprising move, several PTI workers who had been arrested earlier were released shortly afterward. They were taken off the prison van and allowed to leave, while the two sisters remained in custody.

The situation is developing, and no official charges have been announced so far. PTI leaders and supporters have condemned the arrests and demanded immediate release.

Legal and human rights organizations are also watching the case closely, especially since Aleema Khan has been vocal about her brother’s legal cases and political movement in recent months.

Further updates are expected as the authorities issue official statements or court proceedings begin.
