NYPD Officer’s Viral Yankees-Twins Moment on Live TV Sparks Fan Reactions
A New York Police Department officer has gone viral after being caught in an awkward moment on live television during the New York Yankees game on Monday.
YES Network cameras captured the officer in the first inning as a woman walked past him, seemingly catching his attention. He was seen looking at her from behind, a moment that quickly spread across social media.
Fans reacted with humor, flooding the internet with comments. One viewer wrote, “He about to risk the pension,” while another said, “How blatant could it be… jeez louise!” A third fan admitted, “Lmaoooo I saw it live & broke out in tears,” with others joking, “Double take too? Diabolical” and “Lmaooo bro couldn’t resist.”
The viral clip coincided with the Yankees regaining form after a five-game losing streak. They have now won four of their last six games and are aiming for a sweep of the Minnesota Twins after a dominant 15-3 victory in the first two games of the series.
Manager Aaron Boone expressed confidence in the team’s offense, saying, “Frankly, the offense is the least of our concerns… I fully expect our offense to be one of our calling cards and something that should carry us.”
The Yankees currently hold the third wildcard spot in the American League.
