Maryam Nawaz Inaugurates Marka-e-Haq Monument in Lahore

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has officially inaugurated the ‘Marka-e-Haq’ Monument at Man Monument Park. Speaking as the chief guest at the ceremony, she expressed confidence that Pakistan would remain strong and enduring.

She praised the enthusiasm with which the nation is celebrating this year’s Independence Day, calling it exemplary. “We are celebrating Independence Day with unity, passion, and devotion,” she said.

Maryam Nawaz also paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country’s defense, calling them “the pride of the nation.” She described the families of the martyrs as “the crown on our heads” and honored their immense sacrifices.

The Chief Minister further emphasized that the historic victory in the Battle of Marka-e-Haq had inspired a renewed sense of national pride. She also praised Pakistan’s military, stating that the armed forces have made the nation proud by giving a strong response to the enemy.

Maryam Nawaz credited former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for making the country’s defense “invincible” through the nuclear tests, and honored the courageous leadership of General Asim Munir.

She concluded by reaffirming that the defense and sovereignty of the country would always be upheld, with every citizen standing united as a strong wall of support.
