Maria B Criticizes Controversial Lahore Event, Calls It “Obscene and Satanic”

Renowned fashion designer Maria B has strongly condemned a recent controversial program held in Lahore, stating that it promoted acts “not only immoral but also against religious and social values.”

According to details, the event took place in August 2025, and videos of the performances were directly sent to Maria B by children. The designer claimed that participants wore unusual outfits and performed acts she described as “open vulgarity and satanic behavior.”

Maria B further alleged that the event had official approval from local authorities, where some male performers appeared in drag art, portraying female roles. She highlighted the use of certain symbols, including reversed Urdu text and painted third eyes on faces, which she equated with the Dajjal.

Criticizing the growing trend, she said such programs, “under the name of art and creativity, are in fact attempts to normalize homosexuality and un-Islamic values.”

The designer also took aim at the government’s cultural policies, stating that granting permission for such events misguides the younger generation. She compared the situation to the film Joyland, which also faced similar criticism but was still allowed to screen in Punjab.

Maria B alleged that the government was “acting under foreign pressure” and warned parents to remain vigilant, keeping their children away from such influences. She emphasized that she will “continue to raise her voice on this issue and struggle for the protection of societal values.”
