Atif Rozi: Founder of GB United & Scholarshiply.app — A Beacon of Hope for Gilgit-Baltistan’s Youth

16 August, 2025 22:26

From the breathtaking landscapes of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) — a region known for its natural beauty but faced with educational and economic challenges — emerges a young visionary committed to rewriting the narrative for thousands of students: Atif Rozi.

Atif Rozi, the founder of GB United Foundation and Scholarshiply.app, is more than a social activist — he is a driving force of inspiration, advocacy, and educational empowerment. His passion and unwavering dedication to his homeland are truly admirable.

Currently pursuing a BS in English Literature at Masaryk University in the Czech Republic, Atif continues to uplift his community even while studying abroad. His foundation is actively involved in supporting underprivileged families through donations, charity drives, and awareness initiatives.

What sets Atif apart is his commitment to educational upliftment. Through his platforms, he provides free scholarship guidance to students across Pakistan and beyond. His initiative, Scholarshiply.app, helps connect aspiring students to international opportunities — without consultant fees, high requirements, or misinformation.

Today, over 20,000 students from Gilgit-Baltistan and 50,000+ students from across Pakistan are part of his online communities — learning, applying, and building a brighter future.

Atif Rozi is not just a changemaker; he is an asset to Gilgit-Baltistan — a rising leader shaping opportunity, equality, and hope for the next generation.

Silently transforming lives, Rozi is helping dozens of students from GB, across Pakistan, and even worldwide access higher education opportunities abroad, including in Europe and other developed nations.

His determination and smart work paid off when he was awarded a fully funded scholarship to the Czech Republic, making him one of the few from the region to win such a prestigious opportunity.

Voluntary Guidance, Global Impact

What makes Atif’s story truly inspiring is not just his personal achievement, but his commitment to giving back—for free. Without charging a single rupee, Atif provides comprehensive guidance to aspiring students through one-on-one counseling, WhatsApp groups, Instagram Lives, Reels, and informative posts.

“I want to see GB transformed—poverty reduced to zero, and every capable student studying or working abroad,” says Atif.

He adds,

“It’s better to pursue a quality life in developed countries than to chase a stressful, underpaid position in the government system of a developing country.”

Massive Online Following & GB United Platform

Atif’s message has resonated widely. He has built a strong community of over 26.4K followers on Instagram, where he actively answers DMs, responds to comments, and shares real-life success stories of students now studying in Europe.

To streamline his guidance, he launched ‘GB United’, a WhatsApp-based knowledge-sharing platform where students receive verified updates, scholarship opportunities, and step-by-step help for applying abroad.

Breaking Barriers in a Marginalized Region

Gilgit-Baltistan faces many structural challenges, from poor career counseling in schools to limited financial aid awareness. Atif has taken it upon himself to fill this gap by:

  • Hosting free Q&A sessions weekly

  • Sharing tips on writing motivation letters and CVs

  • Training students on visa processes, embassy interviews, and cultural adaptation

  • Mentoring students even after their acceptance into foreign universities

A Vision for Gilgit-Baltistan’s Future

His story is a prime example of how one person can spark a movement, especially in regions often overlooked by mainstream systems.

“GB has talent, but it needs the right direction. That’s all I’m trying to offer—for free, from my heart,” Atif told GTV News.

The Bigger Picture

Atif Ali Rozi’s work aligns with broader efforts to internationalize Pakistan’s education system, promote youth leadership, and strengthen diaspora engagement. As Pakistan aims to increase its presence on the global academic map, changemakers like Atif are leading the way.
