Islamabad Police Launches Crackdown on Drug Dealers, Criminals
Islamabad Police has carried out a major crackdown against criminal elements over the past two weeks, arresting hundreds involved in serious crimes, drug trafficking, and illegal weapons possession.
According to police officials, 380 suspects have been arrested during this period, including 213 wanted criminals involved in serious offenses. FIRs have been registered in all cases.
In the anti-narcotics operations, police recovered over 18 kg of heroin, 19 kg of crystal meth (ice), 2 kg of hashish, and 108 bottles of alcohol from various suspects.
The crackdown also targeted those possessing illegal weapons. Police arrested 108 suspects and recovered 95 pistols of various bores, 15 guns, and 13 daggers from their possession.
The operations were part of Islamabad Police’s ongoing efforts to ensure public safety and eliminate criminal activities in the capital.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad Police stated that the force is fully committed to protecting citizens and maintaining law and order in the city.
