Health Ministry Sends First Batch of Medicines to Flood Victims

Islamabad: Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal announced that the Ministry of Health has dispatched the first batch of medicines and vaccines for flood‑affected communities.

This critical relief includes 250,000 units of pentavalent vaccine and 150,000 units of measles vaccine.

The consignment also contains 291,500 syringes for rubella vaccination, 3,000 safety boxes, 30,000 rapid diagnostic test (RDT) kits for malaria, 60,000 Primaquine tablets, and 10,000 mosquito nets.

Minister Mustafa Kamal affirmed that the Ministry is coordinating closely with provincial governments. He added that all health departments remain on high alert to tackle this disaster effectively.

“We stand shoulder to shoulder with flood‑affected families in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he said, assuring citizens: “We will not abandon anyone in their time of need.”
