Facebook and Instagram Reels Get Automatic Voice Translation

August 20, 2025: Meta has launched a new AI-powered voice translation tool that will help creators dub their Reels into different languages. For now, the feature supports English and Spanish. It is available for all public Instagram accounts and Facebook creators with more than 1,000 followers.

How Meta’s Translation Tool Works

When publishing a Reel, creators can select “Translate your voice with Meta AI.” The tool will then translate the speech, clone the creator’s voice in the new language, and generate an audio track. Creators can also enable lip-syncing, which adjusts mouth movements to match the translated speech.

Before posting, users can preview the dubbed version and make edits if needed. Each translated video will carry a label showing that it was created using Meta’s AI tools.
