Are Motorways Closed Amid Severe Flood Situation Across Country? NHA Responds

The National Highways Authority (NHA) has rejected rumors circulating on social media, clarifying on Friday that all motorways remain open for traffic despite the severe flood situation across the country.

According to an NHA spokesperson, no motorway in the country is submerged under floodwater. While floodwater has accumulated along the motorways at certain points, traffic flow has not been disrupted.

The spokesperson warned that some irresponsible elements are spreading false and baseless claims on social media, urging the public to rely only on information issued by authentic sources.

The authority stated that the situation is being closely monitored from the control room set up at NHA headquarters. Furthermore, NHA Chairman is personally present in the field to oversee the developments.
