Punjab driving license one-year fee update – September 2025

In Pakistan, especially in Punjab, every car driver must have a valid driving license. It is not just a legal requirement but also proof that the driver has passed necessary tests and understands traffic rules.

A license promotes road safety and helps reduce accidents caused by untrained drivers. Without it, drivers can face fines, penalties, or even impoundment of their vehicles.

Learner Driving License

Before applying for a regular license, a driver needs to get a learner driving license. This can be obtained online by paying a fee of Rs. 500. After that, the applicant has to visit a designated center and pass both theoretical and practical driving tests to qualify for the regular license.

Car Driving License Fee in Punjab – September 2025

The Punjab Traffic Police has set the following charges for a car driving license:

• Test fee: Rs. 150

• License fee (after passing test): Rs. 1,350

• Courier charges: Rs. 480

This brings the total cost for a one-year license to Rs. 1,830.

Applicants also have the option to get licenses valid for up to five years, with fees varying according to the chosen duration.
