Who is Tyler Robinson Family? What We Know About Mom Amber Jones Robinson and Dad Matthew
Authorities have identified 22-year-old Tyler Robinson as the suspect in the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Wednesday.
Robinsonβs parents are Amber Jones Robinson and Matt Robinson. According to her Facebook profile, Amber previously attended the University of Utah, the same school where the shooting took place. In 2021, she and Tyler visited the campus together. At the time, she posted, βIt was great to get some one-on-one time with this boy. Plus Aggie ice cream! I didnβt know that was a thing, but itβs great!β
Meanwhile, Matt Robinson, a registered Republican voter, reportedly contacted authorities and turned his son in to police.
President Donald Trump was the first to confirm that a suspect had been placed in custody, announcing the news during an appearance on Fox and Friends on Friday.
The case remains under investigation.
