Government announces 1,000 new jobs in Pakistan Railways

The federal government has decided to recruit 1,000 new staff members for Pakistan Railways to fill important positions.

According to reports, the jobs will be available in three categories. Out of these, 81 posts are for Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASI). Candidates must have at least an FA/FSc qualification to apply. From these seats, 69 are for men, 8 for women, and 4 are reserved for minorities.

The biggest share of hiring will be for Constables, with 914 vacancies. Applicants need a Matriculation certificate with at least a C grade. Among these, 789 seats are for men, 89 for women, and 39 are reserved for minorities.

Pakistan Railways is a major state-owned department that generates billions of rupees every year. Since government jobs are in high demand, a very large number of candidates are expected to apply for these positions.
