The Punjab government has officially launched the E-Taxi Scheme 2025, aiming to promote eco-friendly transportation in the province. In the first phase, 1,100 electric taxis will be distributed in Lahore, with plans to expand the scheme to other cities across Punjab.

Under this initiative, electric vehicles (EVs) will be provided on zero markup, easy five-year installment plans, making green mobility more accessible for drivers and operators.
