Punjab Flooding Situation Improves, Water Flow in Punjab Rivers Returning to Normal
The flow of water in the rivers of Punjab is coming back to normal. The water level in flood-affected areas is rapidly decreasing, signaling improvement in the situation of Punjab flooding.
According to the spokesperson of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the flow of water in the Indus, Jhelum, and Ravi rivers is currently normal. Additionally, the Chenab river has also returned to normal flow levels. At the Panjnad location, the water flow is normal as well.
However, the Sutlej river at Ganda Singh Wala is experiencing a moderate flood. Meanwhile, low-level floods are reported at the Sulemanki and Islam Headworks.
In Dera Ghazi Khan, the flow of Rodkohis is also normal, PDMA Punjab confirmed.
Following instructions from the Chief Minister Punjab, the administration remains on high alert. Rescue and relief operations are ongoing in flood-affected areas under the supervision of the Director General of PDMA Punjab.
