Gold prices raise Rs3,400 in Pakistan - check new rates
Gold prices in Pakistan touched a new record high on Monday, following the rising trend in international markets.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold went up by Rs3,400 per tola, reaching Rs393,700 in the local market. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs2,915, settling at Rs337,514.
This surge comes just two days after Saturday’s rise, when the price had climbed by Rs2,800 per tola to reach Rs390,300.
On the global front, gold prices jumped by $34, hitting $3,719 per ounce (including a $20 premium).
Silver also became more expensive in the local market, with prices increasing by Rs63 per tola, reaching a new rate of Rs4,595.
