Milk and yogurt prices rise in Lahore - check per KG rates
Milk and yogurt have become more expensive in Lahore, adding extra pressure on people already struggling with high inflation.
In September 2025, the prices went up by Rs20 per kilogram. Now, milk is being sold at Rs220 per liter, while yogurt costs Rs260 per kilogram. Just recently, milk was Rs200 per liter and yogurt was Rs240 per kilogram.
The chairman of the milk association explained that floods and heavy rains have raised the cost of animal fodder, making it more expensive for farmers to feed their animals. These higher costs have directly pushed up milk and yogurt prices.
However, many citizens are unhappy with the hike. They say inflation has already made life very hard, and rising prices of basic foods like milk and yogurt are worsening their situation.
Residents are urging the government to step in, control hoarding and profiteering, and introduce relief measures to support both farmers and consumers.
