Saudi Arabia Allows All Visa Holders to Perform Umrah

In a significant step toward easing access to religious pilgrimage, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that all types of visa holders are now eligible to perform Umrah in the Kingdom.

“According to the ministry, this facility is available to holders of personal, family, e-tourist, transit, work, and all other types of visas.” The announcement is part of broader reforms aimed at enhancing spiritual experiences and accessibility for Muslims worldwide.

This initiative supports the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, a strategic framework led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. It seeks to modernize services and provide a more comfortable, accessible, and spiritually fulfilling environment for pilgrims.

“This decision aims to make Umrah more convenient, peaceful, and easy for Muslims around the world.”

To facilitate this expanded access, the ministry has launched the ‘Nasak Umrah Platform’, a digital portal that allows pilgrims to book online Umrah packages and obtain electronic permits. The system gives users full flexibility in selecting dates, times, and service levels, making planning a more streamlined process.

“It was further informed that the ministry has recently launched the ‘Nasak Umrah Platform’ through which Umrah aspirants can choose online packages and obtain an electronic Umrah permit.”

This latest development marks another milestone in the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance the experience for worshippers visiting the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah.

“This facility is a manifestation of the determination to provide pilgrims with the best arrangements for visiting and performing prayers at the two holy mosques so that their faith-building journey can be more blessed and peaceful.”

The Ministry confirmed that expanding Umrah eligibility to all visa categories is a key part of its commitment to offering modern, secure, and comfortable pilgrimage services to Muslims from across the globe.
