White House to host UFC event on President Trump’s 80th birthday

US President Donald Trump has announced that a major UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) event will be held at the White House on June 14, 2026, coinciding with his 80th birthday.

Speaking at Naval Station Norfolk during the 250th anniversary of the US Navy, Trump confirmed the date for the much-anticipated UFC fight at the White House.

Trump shares a close personal relationship with UFC President Dana White and has often praised UFC fans as some of his strongest political supporters. Earlier in July, Trump had revealed plans for a UFC event at the White House but had not specified the date until now.

Dana White recently told the Sports Business Journal that the UFC will invest $7 billion to reseed the White House’s South Lawn after the event, highlighting the scale of preparations underway.

Trump has been a familiar face at UFC events over the years, attending multiple fights since taking office, including a recent appearance in New Jersey this past June. His association with the UFC dates back to 2000 when the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City was among the few venues to host UFC matches.
