Islamabad reopens all routes after extended blockages

15 October, 2025 13:07

The Islamabad Traffic Police has announced that all roads in the federal capital are now open for traffic after a long period of closures caused by protests.

For several days, residents and commuters in Islamabad had been facing serious problems due to blocked roads and detours. Now, with traffic fully restored on all 43 routes, the city is returning to normal.

A spokesperson for the Islamabad Police said that all city roads are open, and the traffic police have been working extra hours to ensure smooth flow and public safety.

People living and working in Islamabad are relieved as travel inside and outside the city—through the M-1 and M-2 motorways—is now back to normal without any hurdles.

The Islamabad Traffic Police has urged citizens to follow traffic rules and cooperate with officers to keep the roads clear and peaceful.

Officials also advised drivers to tune in to FM 92.4 for live traffic updates and official announcements.
