Mohammad Rizwan Writes Third Letter to NCCIA, Confirms Appearance in Inquiry

National cricketer Mohammad Rizwan has written a third letter to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), confirming that he will appear before the agency on October 2 in connection with an ongoing inquiry.
In his latest letter, Rizwan said he had received the notice and confirmed his willingness to participate in the investigation.
Rizwan noted that the first notice issued to him had referred to allegations concerning online betting and gambling. However, he said the latest notice did not mention those allegations.
The cricketer questioned whether the inquiry was still related to online betting or gambling and asked the NCCIA to clarify the matter.
Rizwan also asked the agency to specify which provisions of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016 were relevant to the inquiry.
He further said that his mobile phone was currently in the possession of the NCCIA and requested that it be returned to him immediately.
Rizwan said he had not been informed clearly about the allegations against him. Despite this, he reiterated that he was prepared to fully cooperate with the legal inquiry.
The national cricketer’s latest letter comes as the NCCIA continues its proceedings and prepares to record his statement.
