PCB Yet to Decide ODI Captain for South Africa Series
Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not yet finalized the captain for the upcoming ODI series against South Africa, the boardβs spokesperson confirmed on Friday.
According to the PCB, head coach Mike Hesson has written a letter to PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, requesting a joint meeting to finalize the name of the new ODI captain.
Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has forwarded the coachβs letter to both the Selection Committee and the Advisory Committee for review.
The PCB spokesperson said that a joint committee meeting has been scheduled for October 20, where the final decision on ODI captaincy is expected to be made.
The upcoming ODI series against South Africa is seen as an important part of Pakistanβs preparations for future international competitions, with the captaincy decision likely to shape the teamβs direction moving forward.
