Eight Khawarij Killed in Major Security Operation in Lakki Marwat

LAKKI MARWAT, October 24, 2025 — Security forces carried out a successful intelligence-based operation in the Wanda Sheikh Allah area of Lakki Marwat, killing eight Khawarij militants and injuring five others, according to official security sources.

The operation was launched after credible intelligence reports indicated the presence of militants in the area. Security personnel surrounded the hideout and executed the mission with precision, ensuring that none of the militants managed to escape.

Officials confirmed that the engagement lasted several hours and involved a coordinated response from multiple security units. The injured militants were taken into custody for further investigation.

Following the encounter, a comprehensive search operation was initiated to clear the area of any remaining threats. Authorities said that teams are combing nearby locations to prevent any regrouping of militants.

Local residents reported heavy firing during the early hours of the morning but confirmed that the situation is now under control.

Security officials reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace under the National Action Plan (NAP). They stated that operations will continue until the complete elimination of terrorist elements and the full restoration of law and order in the region.
