Pakistan–Sri Lanka Series to Continue as Scheduled: PCB

Islamabad: The Pakistan–Sri Lanka cricket series will go ahead as planned, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Thursday.

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board has also confirmed that their team will continue the tour of Pakistan. The board said the PCB has assured them of complete security for the players and staff.

In a statement, Sri Lanka Cricket added that if any player wishes to return home, a replacement will be sent in his place. The board emphasized that the safety of the team and staff remains their top priority.

According to PCB sources, the second One-Day International (ODI) between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be played in Rawalpindi as scheduled. The second ODI will take place on November 14, and the third match on November 16 at the same venue.

The PCB also announced that tickets for November 13 will be valid on November 14, while tickets for November 15 can be used on November 16.

Federal Interior Minister and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi thanked the Sri Lankan team for their decision, saying in a post on X (formerly Twitter):

“The spirit of sportsmanship and solidarity shines bright.”
