Gold Price Drops Over Rs9,000 per Tola in Pakistan

The price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan has experienced a significant decline, falling by more than Rs9,000 per tola, with the new price now surpassing Rs430,000. The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association reported that 24-karat gold prices dropped by Rs9,100 per tola, bringing the rate to Rs430,662. Additionally, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold saw a reduction of Rs7,799, bringing the price to Rs369,223 per 10 grams.

Similarly, 22-karat gold also witnessed a price drop, with the cost per 10 grams falling by Rs7,152, bringing the new price to Rs338,466.

The decline in local gold prices mirrors the trends observed in the international market. Globally, the price of gold per ounce dropped by $91, bringing the new international price to $4,083 per ounce.

Alongside gold, silver prices also saw a dip. The cost of 24-karat silver per tola decreased by Rs209, resulting in a new price of Rs4,313 per tola.

This decline in gold and silver prices has been noted as a significant development in the country’s precious metals market, reflecting both local and global market trends.
