Indian Army Chief Manoj Naravane’s Remarks Reveal Deep Turmoil in Indian Leadership

18 November, 2025 15:08

The Indian Army Chief Manoj Naravane’s statement, full of contradictions and mental confusion, seemingly proves that Indian military leadership is in severe turmoil.

The worst failure in the struggle for justice and the global humiliation have put the Indian military and political leadership under harsh pressure.

However, the recent dramatic statement depicts that military weaknesses, poor operational performance, and India’s overall failures have proven the defense structure weak.

The Modi regime’s Hindutva-infused political mindset has imposed exceptional political pressure on the military leadership, who want to prove themselves as Mahatmas by presenting film-style narratives.

In such a confrontation, sometimes after three months, seven planes are claimed to have been shot down, and sometimes a terrorist hideout is claimed to have been destroyed.

Regarding this, the Indian Army Chief Manoj Naravane made the circumstances even more ridiculous by making another contradictory and confusing statement.

On one hand, there is the claim that India forced Pakistan to its knees by using some weapons and the admission that more weapons will be purchased to win such a war. On the other hand, there is an admission that more weapons will have to be purchased to win such a war.

Moreover, this contradiction is evidence of the Indian military leadership’s confusion, incomprehension, and lack of preparation.

The Indian Army Chief, who is beating the drums of a false victory in Operation Sindoor, is actually trying to cover up his own embarrassment and divert attention from the internal turmoil.

General Upendra Dwivedi’s threatening but weak narrative in the Chanakya Defense Dialogue is also an expression of this concern, in which he admits that “only the trailer was shown for Operation Sindoor; the film hasn’t even started yet.”

“And then the Indian Army Chief exposes his defense weaknesses in the same breath: ‘Do we have enough equipment and weapons for a long war? If not, immediate preparations are needed.”

These confessions are living proof of the Indian Army’s weak professionalism, incompetent political leadership, and failed defense planning, and at the same time, they reflect the fact that the Indian military leadership is currently going through severe mental turmoil on all three fronts: policy, strategy, and readiness.
