PHC Extends Protective Bail for KP CM Until November 27
PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) convened a significant hearing on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Suhail Afridi’s petition for protective bail and details of cases brought against him on Tuesday.
However, the case was apparently to be heard by a bench consisting of Justice Ijaz Anwar and Justice Waqar Ahmad, but citing a strike from the lawyers, the hearing could not proceed.
The court, in addition to it, has prolonged the KP CM Suhail Afridi’s protective bail till November 27 and ordered the authorities to submit complete details of all cases registered against him.
Moreover, the bench additionally ruled that the chief minister could not be arrested in any filed matter until the next hearing date.
The CM’s legal advisor in this regard indicated that many cases had been filed against Suhail Afridi in Islamabad and other areas.
The counsel further added that the chief minister of KPK needs the entire case record so that he can approach the appropriate courts.
