No Moon Sighting for Jumada al-Thani; Month to Begin on Sunday
The Ministry of Religious Affairs of Pakistan has announced on Friday that the moon for Jamada al-Thani, the sixth month in the Islamic calendar, has not been sighted, due to which the first day of the Islamic month will begin on Sunday.
However, the Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD), on the other hand, has dropped the advance lunar visibility calendar prepared by the Climate Data Processing Centre for the year 2026.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released the advance lunar visibility calendar for the year 2026, prepared by the Climate Data Processing Centre.
PMD in this regard suggested that Pakistan would experience two solar eclipses and two lunar eclipses in 2026.
Furthermore, the scientific calendar adds predicted dates for every Islamic month next year, as well as details about moon birth timings and the possibility of visibility.
