PHC bars KP govt from using state machinery for politics
The Peshawar High Court has issued a strict ruling against the misuse of government machinery and resources. The court has ordered that no government vehicle, machinery, or staff will be used in protests, marches, or political rallies.
The court stated that using government resources for political purposes is a form of corruption and an abuse of power. It stressed that the government must remain completely neutral during political activities.
According to the ruling, no government employee should be assigned to any political event, and government machinery cannot be used for any political purpose. The court said that such misuse violates the basic rights of citizens.
The judges also expressed serious concern over government officials being involved in political activities and declared that this practice is unacceptable. A complete ban has now been placed on the use of government vehicles in political marches and protests.
The court further directed the government to ensure that all public resources are used legally and properly. It also said that no government officer can be used for political motives and government employees must not take part in political rallies or marches.
With this decision, the court has made it clear that the use of public resources for political gain will no longer be tolerated.
