Iran Seeks Stronger Ties With Saudi Arabia: FM Aragchi

Abbas Aragchi, the Iranian foreign minister, has stated the Islamic Republic of Iran is determined to further strengthen relations with Saudi Arabia, adding that Tehran seeks a region that is free and stable from the interference of external powers.

During a meeting with Waleed Abdulkarim El Khereiji and Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Miao Deyu in Tehran, he praised China’s constructive role and said that Iran is committed to a policy of good relations with neighboring countries.

The optimistic trend in relations with Saudi Arabia is being further strengthened by consultations at the level of foreign ministers of both countries.

He described China’s significant role as very crucial for promoting global peace and stability and safeguarding the multilateral system and said that Iran and China are eager to utilize all opportunities to further expand their relations.

Araqchi additionally added that lasting peace and stability in the region is only possible with the cooperation of all countries. Iran wants a strong and stable region that is protected from the negative interference of external powers.

Meanwhile, the heads of delegations from China and Saudi Arabia appreciated Iran’s hosting of the trilateral meeting and expressed their determination to enhance relations with Iran in all areas.
