NADRA Introduces Important Changes to B-Form Registration
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has taken a significant step to enhance child registration processes in Pakistan.
According to the new guidelines, children aged 3 to 10 years must now have a photograph on their B-Form, while fingerprints will be collected from children aged 10 to 18 years. “For children under 3 years, a photograph will not be required,” NADRA clarified.
Additionally, parents are required to register their child at the Union Council within one month of birth to ensure proper documentation.
The authority emphasized that this measure aims to prevent the registration of unrelated individuals in the family tree, strengthening the integrity of official records.
These changes are part of NADRA’s ongoing efforts to modernize child registration and ensure accurate, secure record-keeping across the country.
