GHOTKI: According to SSP Sukkur Azhar Mughal on Tuesday, 11 of the 19 passengers who were abducted after armed bandits assaulted a passenger bus in Sindh’s Kashmore district were recovered by the Sindh Police.

Over twenty criminals halted the bus on the Guddu–Kashmore Road close to the Murid Shakh district, according to the police. Before taking numerous passengers hostage and leaving the area, the bandits opened fire on the bus and smashed its windows.

During the operation, DSP Obaro Abdul Qadir Soomro set up checkpoints and cordoned off the area. Later, he claimed, there was a gunfight in the Somiani area between the police and the bandits.

Police claim that the criminals were forced to escape because of the usage of drones throughout the operation. Consequently, eleven passengers who had been kidnapped were found safely.

According to authorities, some of the passengers who were found had injuries and received medical attention.

The remaining kidnapped passengers are being rescued, according to SSP Sukkur Azhar Mughal. To find and apprehend the culprits, raids and investigations are being carried out.
