Chicken prices rise in Karachi – check new rates

KARACHI: The price of chicken meat has risen sharply in Karachi. In Shahr-e-Quaid, chicken meat is being sold for up to Rs700 per kg, while live broiler chicken is available for Rs470 per kg.

The official rate of live broiler chicken is Rs416 per kg, and the official price of broiler meat is Rs630 per kg. Despite these official rates, market prices remain higher.

Malik Zarif, a leader of the Poultry Association, said the rise in chicken prices is due to high demand and low supply.

Chicken prices also vary in other cities across Pakistan, depending on local market conditions.
