On this occasion, Admiral Naveed Ashraf appreciated Turkey’s role and cooperation in the MLGEM project and emphasized the need to further strengthen the bilateral defense partnership between the Pakistan Navy and the Turkish Naval Forces.
The Turkish president visited PNS Khyber, met with the ship’s crew, and presented a guard of honor. During this time, the two countries also discussed maritime security and future joint maritime initiatives.
The ISPR says that PNS Khyber is equipped with modern command and control systems and modern weapons, and the construction of both ships, which were built in Turkey under the Miljam project, has been completed.
