Chicken Meat Prices Drop Across Major Cities

New chicken prices have been announced across various cities, showing a noticeable decrease in rates.

In Peshawar, the price of live chicken has dropped by 15 rupees per kilogram, falling from 430 to 415 rupees per kg.

According to official rates in Lahore, the wholesale price of live broiler chicken is 374 rupees per kg, while the retail rate is set at 388 rupees per kg. Chicken meat is priced at 562 rupees per kg, and eggs are available at 363 rupees per dozen. “In Lahore, chicken meat has become 22 rupees per kg cheaper.”

In Faisalabad, the wholesale rate of live broiler chicken is 359 rupees per kg, with the retail rate at 373 rupees per kg. Broiler chicken meat is priced at 540 rupees per kg, and eggs are listed at 363 rupees per dozen. “In Faisalabad, chicken meat has also become 22 rupees per kg cheaper.”

In Multan, the wholesale rate of live broiler chicken is 363 rupees per kg, while the retail price is 377 rupees per kg. Chicken meat costs 547 rupees per kg, and eggs are priced at 354 rupees per dozen. “In Multan, chicken meat prices have fallen by 13 rupees per kg.”

Market analysts attribute the decrease in poultry prices to improved supply and market stability, offering some relief to consumers amid rising food costs.
