Pakistani Consulate in Los Angeles Warns Public About Fake Visa Scam Messages

25 December, 2025 11:06

The Pakistani Consulate in Los Angeles has issued a strong alert warning the public about fake visa messages circulating on social media. These messages claim to be an “important notice” related to Pakistan visa processing and are designed to collect sensitive personal and financial information.

According to officials, the fraudulent notices falsely present themselves as official consulate communications and direct individuals to submit their details through unauthorized links.

The Pakistan Embassy in Washington clarified that the Consulate General has “no connection with such unauthorized persons, agents, or organizations” and will not be responsible for any losses, delays, or other negative consequences arising from engagement with these scams.

These scams are intended to steal critical information, including passport details, social security numbers, bank account information, and credit card data, which could later be exploited for identity theft, financial fraud, and other criminal activities.

The consulate emphasized that all Pakistani visa applications must be submitted exclusively through the official government portal at https://visa.nadra.gov.pk. Applicants were urged to avoid third-party agents or unofficial websites, even if they promise faster processing or special facilitation.

Individuals are encouraged to verify all visa-related information through official channels and report any suspicious messages or websites to the authorities to prevent fraud.
