Ahsan Iqbal Explains Mobile Glitch During Live TV Program

Islamabad | December 25, 2025: Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal clarified the incident when his mobile suddenly switched off during a live TV program on Thursday. The video of the interruption went viral on social media, raising questions among viewers.

According to Ahsan Iqbal, the disruption was caused by a brief disturbance from a person present at the studio. The minister said the individual was unaware of the situation, which led to a temporary interruption in his broadcast.

Replying to a tweet by senior journalist Ajmal Jami, Iqbal explained that he rejoined the program shortly after the brief interruption. He appealed to the public to avoid unnecessary political debate over the incident.

Separately, Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar also addressed the matter on social media. He stated that Ahsan Iqbal clarified the mobile glitch occurred because a child unexpectedly entered the room during the live broadcast. The minister emphasized that everything was resolved quickly, and the Planning Minister resumed the program without further issues.

The incident highlights how unexpected situations can affect live broadcasts, but both ministers reassured the public that there was no cause for concern.
