Pakistan Backs Saudi, UAE Diplomatic Efforts for Yemen Peace

Pakistan expressed its support for efforts for peace and stability in Yemen, saying that it was closely monitoring the recent developments in Yemen.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Pakistan fully supports the diplomatic efforts made by Saudi Arabia to establish peace and stability in the Republic of Yemen and also appreciates the efforts of the United Arab Emirates.

The Foreign Office spokesperson said that Pakistan has urged the parties to engage constructively and in good faith for a comprehensive, negotiated political solution.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, we emphasize the need to respect the unity and territorial integrity of Yemen. Pakistan expresses the hope that the Yemeni parties will refrain from any unilateral actions that could further escalate the situation.

The spokesperson further said that Pakistan hopes that ongoing diplomatic efforts will lead to concrete steps to achieve lasting peace in Yemen. Pakistan also hopes to end the suffering of the Yemeni people.
