Bilawal Bhutto Highlights Sindh’s Health Achievements, Economic Progress
Larkana: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday highlighted the progress made by the Sindh government in health and development, calling the province a model for other regions.
Addressing the media, Bilawal Bhutto said that Sindh now offers the best healthcare facilities and that significant improvements have been made in the health sector following the 18th Amendment. He emphasized that providing quality medical services to the public is a priority and praised the Sindh government’s efforts for public welfare.
He added that child mortality rates have declined compared to the period before the PPP government and claimed that Sindh’s development work outpaces that of other provinces. Bilawal Bhutto stated, “It is our responsibility to ensure citizens have access to proper facilities, especially when people are struggling to manage household expenses.”
On economic matters, the PPP chairman said that Pakistan has been saved from default and that the country’s economic situation is improving. He suggested that the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model is the most effective strategy for development and urged the federal government to consider it to tackle economic challenges.
Bilawal Bhutto also addressed political cooperation, clarifying that calls for political reconciliation are not in favor of any single party. He stressed that all government parties must contribute to democracy and national development. He warned that if extremist politics are pursued, strict actions in accordance with the law and constitution would follow, particularly against attacks on national institutions.
The PPP chairman also acknowledged the federal government’s gesture of sending a delegation on Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary, thanking both the Prime Minister and the PML-N leadership, but clarified that no political dialogue took place with the visiting delegation.
